Who this course is aimed at
This programme is aimed at managers of all levels and is tailored to fit the requirements of those attending; this way we maximise the opportunity to build a high performing team. The programme can also be tailored and run specifically for a ‘team’ to build team working right at the core during the programme.

Module Aim
To introduce participants to the knowledge and skills to build a high-performing team.
Module objectives
By the end of this module delegates will:
- Know the difference between a team and a group of individuals.
- Know the characteristics of an effective and an ineffective team, and assess their team against this.
- Recognise different stages of team development and take appropriate action to move a team through each stage to become a high-performing team.
- Have identified the strengths and weaknesses of different team roles/personalities within the team.
- Identified what roles they need to develop in their team to ensure successful achievement of tasks/targets.
- Identified barriers within their team and come up with an action plan for resolving these.
- Looked at ways to motivate individuals within the team to ensure willingness and participation from all.

– Performing - The team leader’s role in each stage of Tuckman’s theory of team development.

- Motivational theories and best practice.

- Personal action planning.
